FAQ

What kinds of clients do you work with?

I work with organizations from early-stage companies to global enterprises.

The common thread is a problem that's outgrown the function carrying it.  Resolving that problem requires working across several functions.

The result has to work: in use, at scale, under scrutiny, and over time.

Is it just you, or a team?

I lead every engagement directly. When scale calls for it, I bring in trusted specialists and manage them myself.

You get one accountable partner, not a tangle of vendors to coordinate.

How do you price and structure the work?

Most independent engagements take one of two shapes.

A Diagnostic is a focused engagement and usually measured in weeks. It ends with a clear read on the problem, what depends on it, and what your team can act on next. These are typically fixed-fee.

Embedded work runs longer. I work inside the organization: designing the structure, carrying it through implementation, and transferring  it into the organization.

Scope and fee follow the condition, involvement required, and outcome.

We agree on both before the work begins.

How do you handle timelines?

A timeline is only useful while its assumptions are still true.

I get clear on the critical dates, dependencies, and decisions shaping the work early, then pay close attention to where work tends to slip: unresolved decisions, unclear ownership, late handoffs, and work moving forward before the evidence is there.

When something changes, I make the consequence visible early enough for us to decide what moves, what has to be protected.

Who owns the work?

The work created specifically for your organization is built for you to use, adapt, and carry forward. Specific ownership terms are defined in the engagement agreement.

What does the work require from us?

Access to the problem, candor about what is happening, and an accountable sponsor with the authority to act.

As the work deepens, continuity and cross-functional access matter more.

Where are you based?

Boston, working globally.

Video by default, on-site when the work calls for it.

Travel is agreed in advance.

What's the first step?

This form. Tell me what you can about what's going on and why you're reaching out now.

I'll read it and write back.

Then we can decide what makes sense next.
